Entrepreneurial Skills for Local Community

The Center for Appropriate Technology (CAT) in collaboration with Department of Humanities and Management (DHM) in Jigme Namgyel Engineering College and Samdrup Jongkhar Initiative (SJI) conducted a half day training on, “Entrepreneur skills ”, for a total of nine participants from local community on 4th November, 2018.

Most of the participants were home-maker while few were working with SJI in crafts department. They were introduced with basic skills and attitude required to start business. Within the 5 hours of session entire participants were given a moment to contemplate on types of business which will not only benefit the local community but also with minimum investment. Further they also addressed some of the challenges they face in Dewathang community and was deliberated with the subject specialist.

This is the second program conducted by the CAT for the community resourced by Mr. Pema Wangchuk Associate Lecturer of DHM within the year 2018 and similar such programs are in pipeline which will benefit the local community.
